Providence Baptist Church

A few years ago, one of our members gave directions to a friend on how to find our church. “We’re at the corner of Seven Farms Drive and Daniel Island Drive—the Lowcountry building with the green roof.” We are both—at the corner and with a green roof. We hope you will stop by and spend some time with us.

We meet for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and again at 11:15 am. We worship in the building with the steeple on top. Parking is available on Seven Farms Drive and also in our parking lot behind our two buildings. There is an entrance to the sanctuary off Seven Farms Drive and also an entrance in the back, off the parking lot.

Children under the age of first grade have age-appropriate care available for them in the Education Building. We use a beeper system that will alert parents if there are any issues or emergencies during worship. Children can play while parents can focus their energy in worship.

Our worship style is traditional and our dress runs the spectrum of the Lowcountry. Some will worship in business suits and others will worship in shirts and shorts. Our ministerial staff and choir wear robes for worship.

At 10:00 am on Sunday mornings, we have Sunday School for all ages. This time of Christian Education is vital to the life of the church as we break into smaller groups to spend time studying and praying together.

Wednesday nights we meet for pot-luck supper at 6:00 pm with activities for children and adults beginning at 6:30. We meet in the sanctuary building around tables to enjoy a meal together. Families bring a dish and we lay all the food out and enjoy eating together as a family of faith. At 6:30, the children go to music and missions education, the youth have Youth Group, and the adults participate in a time of prayer and then Bible Study or seminars depending on the month. It is our hope that you will take the time to come spend some time with us.

While the building is pretty and fits well with the landscape of Daniel Island, the true beauty of Providence Baptist Church is her people. There is a spirit of love and care here that is grounded in the love of Christ. We invite you to come be a part of who we are.
